On September 13, 2018, a symposium dedicated to Ernst Wilhelm Nay, who was born 1902 in Berlin and died 1968 in Cologne, takes place in the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart - Berlin. Nay is one of the most important painters of the twentieth century who promoted an exemplary development from figuration to a new level of abstract art after the Second World War. In seven lectures by proven connoisseurs, new research into the work of Nay is presented, which covers all phases of his artistic career.
